About

My wife, Bron, and I worked for many years for Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke,  organizing huge meetings. I began writing newsletters from remote corners of the globe. People were encouraging. My first book was Holy Fire, published by Kingsway, UK, in 1996.

We founded JF Ministries in 2003 to preach the gospel and teach healing around the world. By God’s grace, we’ve seen thousands healed in our Schools of Healing. We worked in Rwanda after the genocide, and for thirteen years we took teams to Nepal, where the church is growing fast.

Formerly farmers in Wiltshire, we moved to Auckland, New Zealand, in 2005. Prompted by the Holy Spirit, we moved back to England in June, 2024, to be ready for the next move of God! We have no children, but love houses, gardening and wildlife. I’d love to hear your thoughts on any of my books. johnf@jfm.org.nz; Lots more on www.jfm.org.nz

Why not check out why I love the Bible?

Rainbow Bible Guide

I love the word of God, and have used the same daily reading system for 40 years! It’s given me insight into the whole Bible in a simple (and digestible!) form. Struggle with your Bible study? Then try the Rainbow Bible Guide: 1) Download the manual 2) Make the ribbons.

1) Make the ribbons Buy 30cm-long ribbons in the seven colours of the rainbow. Glue or sew them into a cardboard or fabric tab 2cm wide in this order: red, yellow, violet, blue, orange, indigo, green. (It’s okay to overlap.)

2) Mark your Bible Insert the tab into the spine of your Bible. Put the red ribbon at the start of Genesis, the yellow at the start of Joshua, violet in Job, blue in Isaiah, orange in Matthew, indigo in the gospel of John, and green in Romans.

3) Start reading! Read a different part of the Bible each day:

  • Mondays, use the red ribbon and read the Law: Genesis to Deuteronomy
  • Tuesdays, (orange) read the synoptic gospels: Matthew, Mark, and Luke
  • Wednesdays, (yellow) read the history: Joshua to Esther
  • Thursdays, (green) read the letters: Romans to Jude
  • Fridays, (blue) you read the prophets: Isaiah to Malachi
  • Saturdays, (indigo) read the writings: Gospel of John, Acts, Revelation
  • Sunday, (violet) read the poetry: Job to Songs

Great revelation

This refreshing way brings great revelation to the WHOLE Bible without being bogged down. I try to read 4 chapters each day and mark where I stop. Then I’ll read through the Old Testament in a year, and the New Testament twice. But you can read as much or as little as you want. Let me know how you get on! johnf@jfm.org.nz
